Baptist Church

New Here?
Out here in the quiet of Scott County, we’re a church grounded in simple faith and steady truth. At White Sulphur, we gather to follow Christ, grow in His Word, and live out a faith that’s real, rooted, and built to last.
Who We Are
White Sulphur Baptist Church is a rural church in Scott County, surrounded by farmland, black fences, and the steady rhythm of country life. Our church family is made up of hardworking, blue-collar people—folks who value honesty, faithfulness, and showing up for one another.

We’re not flashy, and we don’t try to be. We aim to be faithful.
We believe the Christian life is meant to be lived out day by day—in our homes, in our work, and in our community—and our church reflects that same steady, grounded approach.
What We Believe
We believe:
-
The Bible is the Word of God and our final authority
-
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ
-
Jesus Christ is Lord and the only way to salvation
-
The church is called to live faithfully and make disciples
As a Southern Baptist Church, we look to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our full Statement of Faith.
Our Mission
REACH. TEACH. REJOICE. REPLICATE.
Everything we do at White Sulphur flows from this mission for the glory of God.
REACH
We want people to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
TEACH
We are committed to faithfully teaching the Bible as God's Truth.
REJOICE
We gather to worship and give thanks for what God has done and is doing.
REPLICATE
We seek to disciple others so the work continues beyond us.
